The 10th National Congress of the Italian Society of Tropical Medicine and Global Health
(SIMET)
The 10th National Congress of the Italian Society of Tropical Medicine and Global Health (SIMET) will be held on 4 and 5 November 2024 in Rome, at the National Institute for
Infectious Diseases IRCCS Lazzaro Spallanzani.
The Congress will address emerging and re-emerging tropical diseases, international
cooperation and global health, through cross-disciplinary participation involving all the
different actors in the Society.
The rationale of the 10th Congress is to address pertinent themes such as neglected tropical diseases, the right to health of mobile populations and access to medicines, in a cross-cutting way starting from human health, through animal health, environmental health, climate change to planetary health.
The event aims, through its objectives, to maintain or strengthen the virtuous network between different professionals with a view of a multidisciplinary approach towards individual care.
The Congress is aimed at any health professional (physicians, nurses, veterinarians,
biologists, pharmacists, assistants and health technicians) who have an interest in learning more about topics related to tropical diseases and global health.
