Event Overview
The next edition of Les Actualités du Pharo will take place in Marseille from 7 to 9 October 2026. This 31st edition is jointly organised by the Groupe d’Intervention en Santé Publique et Épidémiologie (GISPE) and the Société Francophone de Médecine Tropicale et Santé Internationale (SFMTSI).
Each year, in addition to invited lectures addressing the annual themes, the conference offers the opportunity to present free oral or poster communications, selected by the Scientific Committee. Submissions may relate either to the conference themes or to any topic in tropical medicine or international health.
In addition, the College of Academic Teachers in Infectious and Tropical Medicine will organise a symposium highlighting the key scientific updates of the year in tropical health.
Several awards for theses and fieldwork will be presented. Over the two and a half days of the meeting, a poster session will facilitate exchanges with professionals from research institutions, healthcare facilities, and non-governmental organisations.
The 2026 edition will focus on two central themes:
- Malaria control: why is it so difficult?
- Treatment of neglected tropical diseases
