SFMTSI Spring Meeting 21 May 2026

Dear Colleagues,

This meeting, dedicated to the theme of tropical envenomations, will take place on 21 May 2026 at the French Red Cross, 21/23 rue de la Vanne, 92220 Montrouge, in person and online.

Envenomations, defined as the inoculation of a venomous substance into the body by terrestrial or aquatic animals, represent a significant proportion of non communicable pathology in tropical settings and are classified by the World Health Organization as “neglected tropical diseases”. This scientific meeting addresses the topic from the perspectives of epidemiology, pathophysiology, symbolic representations, and clinical management. Tropical intoxications resulting from the entry of animal or plant substances via the digestive tract or through the skin and mucous membranes will be addressed in future meetings.
