About the meeting
The ASTMH Annual Meeting is one of the leading international forums for tropical medicine, hygiene and global health. Every year it brings together several thousand scientists, clinicians, public health experts and policy makers from around the world to share new research findings and clinical developments and to discuss the most pressing questions in global health.
Participants come from academia, government agencies, foundations, non-governmental and not-for-profit organisations, industry, the military and private practice. This broad mix makes the meeting an excellent place to meet colleagues across disciplines and to build new international collaborations.
Programme
The scientific programme offers more than 150 educational sessions, including plenary lectures, symposia, scientific sessions and extensive poster presentations. Topics span the full range of the field, from parasitology, virology and vector biology to clinical tropical and travel medicine, diagnostics, vaccines and global health policy.
Pre-meeting courses are held before the main conference and offer an opportunity for focused clinical and scientific updates. The detailed schedule is published on the ASTMH website and may still change.
Registration
Registration is now open. ASTMH members benefit from reduced registration fees, and in many cases membership plus member registration costs less than registering as a non-member. Full registration includes access to the complete scientific programme and the networking events.
Participants who need an official invitation letter for visa purposes can request one through an online form on the ASTMH website. Please note that ASTMH cannot guarantee visa approval.
FESTMIH and ASTMH
FESTMIH and ASTMH are strengthening their collaboration by promoting each other's conferences. We warmly invite members of our European member societies to attend the ASTMH Annual Meeting and to connect with colleagues from the Americas and beyond. In return, ASTMH members are welcome at the European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health (ECTMIH), which will take place in Barcelona from 25 to 28 October 2027.

The 2027 ASTMH Annual Meeting is scheduled for 7 to 11 November 2027 at the Gaylord Rockies in Denver, Colorado, USA.
