World NTD Day 2027 Photo Competition
From art to photography: Following last year's successful NTD Art Competition, we are thrilled to announce the World NTD Day 2027 Photo Competition!
Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) affect over 1 billion people worldwide across every region of the globe. Under this year’s theme, "NTDs Through the Lens: Stories of Risk, Resilience and Response," we invite you to capture what NTDs mean to you and how they impact communities worldwide.
Who Can Participate?
Everyone is welcome to join! We want to highlight how we are all connected by the topic of NTDs—whether you are:
- A person directly affected by an NTD
- Living in an endemic region
- Observing pathogens through a microscope in a laboratory
Competition Rules & Selection Process
- Submission Deadline: October 25
- Regional Winners: An interdisciplinary jury will select one winning photograph from each of the six WHO regions (Africa, Americas, Europe, Eastern Mediterranean, South-East Asia, Western Pacific).
- Grand Prize Voting: These 6 regional winning photos will then advance to a global online public vote to determine the overall competition winner.
Prizes & Recognition
Cash Prizes: All 6 regional winners will receive prize money.
Exhibitions & Publication: The winning images—alongside selected honorable mentions—will be featured in an official photo book and showcased in exhibitions for World NTD Day 2027.
